Opening to public travel in June of 2016; Fort Meade Way has seen several regulatory changes to its use:

- 35 MPH speed restriction on the northern section
- Jake Brake restriction on the southern section
- No Passing Zone (entire route)

- Designated Beautification area to restrict billboards
