Reminders for the November 3rd General Election:
Early voting at the Meade County Auditor’s Office is open to the public Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. up until November 2nd.
If you requested an absentee ballot to be mailed to you – Please remember to sign the back of the envelope.
All absentee ballots must be returned to the Meade County Auditor’s Office before 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd to be counted.
Meade County has three (3) drop off locations for your ballot: locked box outside the front entrance, locked box inside the lobby doors of the front entrance, and hand delivered to the Auditor’s Office located on the east end of the first floor.
DO NOT take your absentee ballot to the polling place and drop it off.
If you receive a suspicious email or call regarding voting. Contact the Meade County Auditor’s Office @ 605 347 2360 or the SD Secretary of State (605) 773-3537. There is a lot of spam out there be aware!
Polling locations are noticed in the legal newspaper and can be located on our website @ www.meadecounty.org
If you wish to track your ballot you can go to the SD Secretary of State website www.sdsos.gov and click on the Voter Information Portal.
Election day – remember to give yourself some time. It is not mandatory that you wear a mask at the polling places, but it is highly suggested. Polling places will have social distancing reminders, hand sanitizers, and masks available.
Remember to get out and vote! It is your right!!!!!
