Notice of Special Election on Rural Ambulance District - Change of Polling Place

NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION  RURAL AMBULANCE DISTRICT

A Special Election will be held on Monday, March 23rd, 2020,  for the proposed Rural Ambulance District in Meade County.  Voters are still able to vote absentee until Friday, March 20th, 2020.

The election polls will be open from seven a.m. to seven p.m. mountain time on the day of the election. 

The polling place for the Rural Ambulance District in the county is as follows:

General Statement of Duties

The State's  Attorney has the exclusive and statutory responsibility for prosecuting violations of the criminal laws of the State of South Dakota, as well as many other regulatory laws of the state and county, including ordinances and traffic regulations.

Additionally, the office is responsible for providing legal advice and representation to the Board of County Commissioners and other elected / appointed department heads.

Selection Process

1. Applicants reviewed by the Meade County Commission.

2. Formal interview and selection process set for October 22, 2019.

3. Appointment effective from October 22, 2019 to December 31, 2020.

A Special Election will be held on Monday, July 8th, 2019, in the following voting precincts in Meade County.

The election polls will be open from seven a.m. to seven p.m. mountain time on the day of the election.
